Fiery Friday Sermon!!!

lavikor! can i ask you why ? you write god, like this g-d?????

It is against Jewish law to throw away the name of G-d. (On the internet it can be deleted)

Based on the words in Deut. 12:3-4, the Rabbis deduced that it is forbidden to erase the name of G-d from a written document. Since any paper upon which G-d's name was written might be discarded and thus "erased", the Rabbis forbade explicitly writing the name of G-d, except in Holy Books, with provisions for the proper disposal of such books.

Jews are Allah's creations, and even the Quran states that Jews have a covenant with Allah (Baqara).

If you want to be a real Muslim, start treating Jews like humans and dont judge by their religion. Follow the actions and words of the Prophet towards Jews.

Except that no Jews in the world today or any Jews in the historical record have ever said that Ezra was the Son of God. I believe that Ansar al-Adl says there were a group of Jews back then that did, but wouldn't that mean the curse is for Jews who think that Ezra is the Son of God (i.e. none of them alive today whether Zionists or not)?

Greetings

Do not try to bring theological discussions in the World Affairs section. We have relevant sections for that. In the future, start a topic there.

As for the Ezra, son of God ayaah, see:

This does not go on where I go Friday, and I want to say that I hope Anti-Semitic people are not having sermons in mosques around the world after prayers.

When I arrived at home after work, I've asked my father what the sermon like in my parish mosque? He said, very fiery and very anti-Jewish and anti-Christian. They even organized big demonstration after Friday prayer. I've asked several friends living in different states and cities in Malaysia - it just the same thing.

From what I've seen, Hezballah really...really gained the status of 'Defender of Muslim world' in the Malaysian Sunnis' eyes. Seeing the news about demonstrations worldwide Sunnis in Malaysia, South Africa, Philippines and Turkey holding pics of Nasrallah and Hezballah flag.

Is the current situation suddenly making Sunnis-Shiites as united ummah? I would like to hear views from your respected countries and towns....

Assalaamu Alaykum,

We are going off topic but sister daffodil is referring to the ziadi shi’a whose beliefs are closer to the Sunnah than many Sunni Muslims!

For example many of them I have spoken to use the mainstream sunni books of haddith and do not go into impermissible tawussul, i.e making du’a to or through the dead.

Some even deny they are shi’a, saying they are sunni and just happen to think Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) would have made a better first khalif.

Now if you look at some of the people who are most ferocious in verbally attacking the shi’a, those who claim the title Ahlus Sunnah but do not act upon it, often when you examine their beliefs then they are very close to the worse of the shi’a, the Rafadiyyah who commit open kufr.

Assalaamu Alaykum,
Daw’ud

That's the thing with Ali being a better leader, is irrelevent in this day and age. When people stop giving into this political issue that divided some of the muslim back than in history, than we can be a more structured unity.

Can we go beyond calling our self name, just stick to muslim since we follow the same source. If you start calling yourself sunni, shia, shi'tte, people will think it's a social club, and think I must belong to this one, and start gobling up the very things that caused division in the first place. e.g. Ali would have made a better leader.

My response would be they would all have made a better first caliph, do you know why? because they where coser to allah(swt) after our prophet.

End of story, which has ended long time ago.

Here in London, we have the same thing, muslims (generalized) are holding hezbollah flags, "christians, muslim lebanese british, christian lebanese British white british, black, white, brown, I tot I so some yellows in their, socialist and even the "damned atheist" (no offense just homour) who have holded his picture, and many marched alongside it in unity, with other placards. It was a demonstration march from hyde park to parliament square, held 06 august 2006.
Estimated around 70,000. I am not sure.

Yeah..... is it ... like ... relevant for today?

No, and we should not bring it about.
It's only relevant if you make it relevant. Like a self fulfilling prophecy (just an anology).

We all follow the 5 pillars basicly. Just keep it nice and simple.

that is right!

we should treat them exactly the same way he treated them, when they broke their covenant and attacked the muslims who had sheltered them he then turned around and attacked them himself.

who sheltered the jews for 1300 years when persecuted by others? yet they have still broke their covenant with us just as they did with the prophet (saws)?

Anyone who thinks that muslims are anti-semetic, they should ask themselves, Why do we support the muslim arabs? Arabs are also semitic.

Allaah Almighty knows best.

Peace.

The Khatib said:
Jews, God's curse upon them.
Several Muslims support this statement and several give apposing thoughts.
One person also stated that hate sermons were given at another mosque.
I've asked my father what the sermon like in my parish mosque? He said, very fiery and very anti-Jewish and anti-Christian.
I found this quite disturbing. That is why I posted:
Preaching hate from the pulpit.
Is that the Islamic way?
And no one has responded.
At this time 296 people have looked at this thread and there are 36 posts to it.
Not one person, no one, has cruised preaching hate from the pulpit.

Amazing.

It is unlikely you will find many here that get angered by this hatred being preached from the pulpit. Many say they dont hate the jews but when this stuff is said they are silent. Try saying "hamas and hezbollah are terrorist organizations and should be wiped of the map. God curse them."

That is likely to get a little more response.

ameen to his dua

ahsant, ameen, except I pray the curse be upon zionist and their supporters, not all jews, and I know Zionist is what the Imam meant, many jews are against Israel.
