Fiery Friday Sermon!!!

What if this was about a Temple and a Rabbi saying "Muslims, Gods curse upon them!"

People would be yelling about this...

But its an Immam so everyone doesn't really care about the bigotry.

if He generalised jews..then its wrong..you know theres an important thing you and MRR need to understand.

Israel likes to make it seem that all jews are zionists..untill a few years ago i always thought all jews support Israel since its the state that has been established for jews only..so they all hate palestinians and dont want the occupation to end.etc etc.

so Imagine my shock when i saw on aljazeera this orthdox Jewish Rabbi complete with his 18th century Polish clothes..totally speaking out against the injustice, the occupation and disagreeing totally with the very existence of Israel?? this interview took the arabic speaking world by storm..

there are muslims to this day who think all jewish people are zionists because they mistakenly think that zionism is part and parcel of the religion of Judaism..they believe this because thats what Israelis and Zionists say. Israel is a zionist state and a state for jews but is it a 'jewish' state purely?no...its amazing how even in Antiwar demonstrations muslms are so surprised by Orthodox Jews who make an effort to protest even on Sabbaths. Its a sad fact too the the Zionist Jews beat them up.

back to the Khutbah

What is the proper action to take? Brother North Malaysian please talk to the Imam..ask him why he made those statements..and make him aware of the existence of a fastgrowing totally NonZionist humane, compassionate, peaceloving Jewish population.

Its irrelavent.

The Quran says "JEW" not "Zionist" so in essance, the Anti-Semitism spoken by this Imam is supported by Islams holy book.

Very sad.

Allah NEVER generalises Jews or Christians..its you who thinks so.

if Allah did then what is the purpose of Him informing us of the good Jews and the good Christians?

Qur'an 3:113-117 Surah Ale-'Imran (The Family of 'Imran)

Not all of them are alike: of the People of the book are a portion that stand (for the right); they rehearse the signs of Allah all night long and then prostrate themselves in adoration.

They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong; and they (hasten in emulation) in (all) good works; they are in the ranks of the righteous.

Of the good that they do nothing will be rejected of them; for Allah knoweth well those that do right.

Those who reject faith neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah; they will be companions of the fire dwelling therein (for ever).
What they spend in the life of this (material) world may be likened to a wind which brings a nipping frost: it strikes and destroys the harvest of men who have wronged their own souls; it is not Allah that hath wronged them but they wrong themselves

What about the last page of posts talking about how Jews have Gods curse upon them? Well?

God cursed bad jews, not good jews.

Do you know that in Battle of Uhud, Prophet Muhammad called a rabbi as a 'martyr'.

Imagine, a Jewish rabbi defending Islamic state of Medina.... that's cool...

Allah talks about the bad jews..those that distorted the pristine messages of the Prophets (peace be upon them all)

Qur'an 5:77-80 Surah Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread)

Say: "O people of the Book! exceed not in your religion the bounds (of what is proper) trespassing beyond the truth nor follow the vain desires of people who went wrong in times gone by who misled many and strayed (themselves) from the even way.

Curses were pronounced on those among the Children of Israel who rejected faith by the tongue of David and of Jesus the son of Mary: because they disobeyed and persisted in excesses.

Nor did they (usually) forbid one another the iniquities which they committed: evil indeed were the deeds which they did.

Thou seest many of them turning in friendship to the unbelievers. Evil indeed are (the works) which their souls have sent forward before them (with the result) that Allah's wrath is on them and in torment will they abide.

Surah 3:75-80 Ale-'Imran (The Family of 'Imran)

Among the People of the Book are some who if entrusted with a hoard of gold will (readily) pay it back; others who if entrusted with a single silver coin will not repay it unless thou constantly stoodest demanding because they say "There is no call on us (to keep faith) with these ignorant (pagans)." But they tell a lie against Allah and (well) they know it.

Nay. Those that keep their plighted faith and act aright verily Allah loves those who act aright.

As for those who sell the faith they owe to Allah and their own plighted word for a small price they shall have no portion in the hereafter: nor will Allah (deign to) speak to them or look at them on the Day of Judgment nor will He cleanse them (of sin); they shall have a grievous penalty.

There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues; (as they read) you would think it is a part of the Book but it is no part of the Book; and they say "That is from Allah" but it is not from Allah: it is they who tell a lie against Allah and (well) they know it!

It is not (possible) that a man to whom is given the Book and Wisdom and the prophetic office should say to people: "Be ye my worshippers rather than Allah's; on the contrary (he would say): "Be ye worshippers of Him Who is truly the Cherisher of all for ye have taught the Book and ye have studied it earnestly."

Nor would he instruct you to take angels and prophets for Lords and Patrons. What! Would he bid you to unbelief after ye have bowed your will to Allah ?

you read one verse in the Quran and think you know the whole thing and are able to question? why not read a whole translation for yourself before judging?
