Hmm, who else here has parents that speak half Gujarati and half English? My mum speaks half Punjabi and half Gujarati when she's on the phone. It's funny at times.

Umm not sure what it's called in English, but there's an image here with vhengru in. Not the best of images, it's the dark maroon/black things on top of the carrots.

Ha we call it ringru, I'm a bharuchi kid. :)

And kitchree karee, I heard that surti people call it the other way round karee kitchree but bharuchis call it kitchree karee. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but that's what my friends at mosque used to tell me.
It doesnt really matter coz I dont like it but my family eat it with fried potatoes.

Im a Gujrati Indian who was born in Fiji.

I can UNDERSTAND Gujrari,but i cant speak it.I speak Broken Indian/Fijian Indian + hindi + Urdu (same difference...) + I can read Arabic.
