Please, spear me... The whole post is flaming with sarcasm, and if that isn't mocking, then what is?
The article was written after noting the arguments used by certain Christian missionaries in their debates with Muslims (that's why you will notice particular groups or people have been mentioned in the article). After seeing many Christians on this forum raise similar arguments the article was posted here to expose such fallacies.
But as I said, I recognise muslims need to step on us (and this is "your" forum)
Since you don't know the context behind why the article was posted or written or when, it seems imprudent for you to make such a judgement. The only connection the article has with Christianity is that it highlights the arguments of some Christians.

aiyai yai yai yai!! this thread is vry controversial!! mayb we juz rmoved tis thread!!! easy!

They don't seem very christian to me.. Now please tell me, for the sake of truth, where can I find these christians and their arguments? Any links?

Did a christian for instance say:

"I smoke, drink and have sex with different partners every night. My sins are forgiven because I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord & Saviour"??

I think you should reconsider. I've seen christians banned from this site for less insulting remarks than this. Did someone mention something about double standards?

haha.. christian dove, u r right...

anyway , i don thiink we shud b mockin chistians although we hav differents believes...

"And do not abuse those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest exceeding the limits they should abuse Allah out of ignorance. Thus have We made fair seeming to every people their deeds; then to their Lord shall be their return, so He will inform them of what they did" Quran 6.108

They are mentioned right in the article; If you had read it you would have seen their names like Matt Slick, Robert Morey, etc.

I think you should try and look into your heart to find the real reason as to why you want to have this post out. Is it because you think Islam is the only truthfull religion? Is it because it gives a certain (maybe small, but still...) boost to your pride to put another religion in a bad light? If you do not find it offensive towards christians, maybe you should read the post once again, and try and see it from a more objective point of view. Try replacing the word "christians" with "muslims" and vice versa.

Its funny how you first asked for the names and now when I provide them to you, you quickly shift the subject and ignore your previous request! Since you do not know the context surrounding why this article was posted here, you're wasting your time asking me about it.

Why not use your time on this forum more productively, and we can discuss Christianity and Islam.

nah. i think this is juz a miscommunication.. Relax evry1...
supposedly i blieve that this arguemnt post is actually from a christian...
however i also blieve that this argument post is too controversial and rude/offensive, so what i think we shud do is too juz remove this thread!!!

I’m sorry but I cannot find any funny thing about this in the same way that I do not find it amusing when the same kind of lists is presented about Muslims.

I do not think anyone should try to make fun over each other’s religions. Isn’t it what the cartoon thing was all about?

Peace

You gave me the name Matt Slick but no reference as to where I can find the posts. Why do you ignore MY requests? I know of Slick, but I haven't read any posts from him in here. He is a radical, and if his quotes are what you consider opinions of the avarage christians, then I may say that the opinion of Bin Laden is that of the average muslim. Fair enough?

I have read some of your replies to people however, and to be honest, not often do I see anyone as self rightous as you. You redicule other people who has good points, and if you don't like the questions asked you simply ban people. I can't believe you are the administrator of a "serious" site! You sound like a very narrow minded person, someone who has made up his mind (Islam is from Allah, everything else is bad) and whos only intention with discussing is to convince others of their mistakes. I am looking to find the truth, but I have to this day never met anyone who knows the secrets of God, only people who themselves believe they have the truth. They don't. Noone is further away from truth than those who claim to have it. Noone.

He doesn't post here. As for why this article was posted here, it was posted in response to a wave of radical christians we got who joined the forum. Again, as I said before, you don't know thje context as to why this article was posted so you're wasting time arguing over it.

I'm very sorry you feel that way. I don't know which of my posts you have read but I have had may friendly dialogues with Christians, Agnostics and Atheists on this forum as well. I have to be strict with those people who join to abuse the forum or insult Islam, but anyone who seeks a respectful dialogue will never be turned away.

Regards

I am sure you have had many "friendly" dialogues. As long as they didn't post anything critical about Islam. How can you belive in a faith that you are unable to defend? The quotes I listed was genuin quotes made by islamists, or people claiming to be islamists... Yes, they were far worse than whatever Mr Matt Slick ever wrote, but that is because you wont find many christians arguing for the use of violence. While muslim schoolars write books about it.. Interesting that you avoid those ideas in stead of standing up against them. In most westerners eyes, that is because you agree. You will never ever hear that apologies for the muhammad cartoons that you are so much waiting for. And that's because muslims from the 3. world do not have the faintest idea as to what freedom is... The way islam presents itself resembles the way the nazis did in the early 30'ies. Make all oponents shut up, and if they don't, kill them.

And as for that statement of yours, I did not enter this forum to redicule Islam, I came here to serch for the truth in regards to what your faith is all about, and believe me, I found out.

That's kind of inflammatory don't you think?

One can have an intellectual dialogue on the validity or inerrancy in another's religion without being rude, insulting, or disrespectful. But I suppose you haven't realized that yet.
How can you belive in a faith that you are unable to defend?
Quite ironic that you should say something like this to me. The number of non-muslims I have debated with over Islam on this forum is quite significant:
Sephiroth
Sinner
czgibson
Reighnskye
hawk
PrIM3
Space falcon
mansio
yoshiyahu
morrissey
YamahaR1
CarrieValandez
justahumane
POBook
Root
HeiGou
Organized Chaos
Daoud

I could keep listing names, but I think I've made my point. I am someone who is always open to dialogue and I welcome objective criticism that is done with respect. I have no problem debating my religion.

I too noticed a sarcastic hint in the responses, but the overall message was that a lot of Christians debate us Muslims with baseless allegations.

There has been a lot of abuse done by Christian missionaries and they use a lot of bad sources for their information, if you look at my topic "anti-Islamic propaganda."

If you feel offense for you religion, your god, it's a good sign in my eyes of the faithful :) I think it's one of the few matters the prophet(pbuh) actually became upset about, actually I'm pretty sure he only got upset about religous matters.

Well, why don't you look at the stories in which your religion is based on: Jesus bringing the dead to life with one touch, making the blind see, and the deaf hear (which is all agreed upon by the Muslims by the way). Also, look at the story of Moses when he splited the sea with one hit by his stick (that too is agreed upon by the Muslims).

How can you explain these stories with our current logic today?

I hope it's OK for me to enter this discussion. What religion do you have izmi?

Sincerely,
