Not All waves.Some do not.

The hieght of the crest of the wave or the depth of the trough is the amplitude.
Nope! That one is def. wrong. I have the answer to that one n my textbook.

I can't see how that statement is wrong in any way.

The amplitude of a wave refers to the maximum amount of displacement of a a particle on the medium from its rest position.
In a sense, the amplitude is the distance from rest to crest. Similarly, the amplitude can be measured from the rest position to the trough position

Nothing wrong with this statement again (as far as i can see), however it may not be entirely accurate? The distance must be the horizontal distance between two consecutive/adjacent waves.

Again, nothing wrong with the statment, however, it may not be entirely accurate.It may read more accurately when you insert the word 'complete'. ie, 'complete cycles'.

hehe yeh i enjoy it.. come on.. its not that bad

well it could be that you dont actually understand the concept behind the question, if thats the case then i recommend that you make sure you understand the theory properly before you attempt to answer the questions. with physics you need a good understanding, especially of the basics, is very important.

or maybe you arent confident with calculations? perhaps you arent really a maths person? in that case i would suggest that you practise a lot, that way as you make more mistakes you can find your weaknesses, learn from them and hopefully learn not to repeat them. also when you practise more you become more used to the question style and that makes you more confident about how to approach questions and also refreshes your mind in regards to the thoery. it is a good way to help make sure the stuff sticks in you head.

Well saying that....*becomes EXTREMELY EMBARASSED* these are my marks so far for the tests I have been doing:

40%
48%

If you think about it, I am GETTING THERE.i just need to get over the half mark and inshAllah I should be a little more....stable. I dont intend to give up.
Oh and....first I had 14/22 = 64%. I then re did my cw and I have...89%. My teacher seed I can get full marks cuz APPARENTLY im capable of doing so.....so now....im sitting here....TRYING to polish bits in my cw and get 100% *rolls eyes*

Oh well, nice to know there is a physicist around.lol. And...thats my story^^^^lol

stating A2 work, have to do an investigation of my choice on a physics topic- intially excited but i can't think of anything, any ideas ? aim is so vague- thinking of doing something based on mechanics ?

ther'es this really good book full of experiments you might wanna get your hands on.. its called physics practicals for the IB diploma.. u can steal a prac out of there and make a fewchanges of ur own

the pendulum one is good if ur allowed to do anything to do with mech.. i think Alevel physics is like HL IB physics.. seen some of the papers, so u might opt for a more 'Higher Level' one

I think the usual ones with Physics are the pendulum and spring one in mechanics, and measuring variables in circuits in electricty.

i have just done my As physics exam and to tell you the truth i can't wait to drop physics, i absolutely hate it. I am not very good at physics but i think that if you enjoy the subject and can do it then you should carry on with it. physics is one of the hardest A level subjects so if you can do it you must be quite clever. anyway i have decided to carry on with biology, chemistry and maths for A2 in inshallah i will get good grades and do a really good course in University

I am doing my project now.

Brothers and sisters, Physics is the best subject anyone could possibly take. Honestly, if you like challenes, Physics is your subject. If you like the easy way out...don't take Physics.

I think it should because resistance changes with heat/structure and resistivity is relative to resistance.
