I was struck appalled when facing the fact that this guy could've been involved in such gruesome crime. I remember watching his talk show years ago when I was a young teenager.

But why did the court charge him with "abetting" in murder? The police officers have no motive for murder but he has. I'm guessing those two officers were just poltroons in this case.

We have to wait for the trial, to se why....

But, if they want to kill a WOMAN, why they need to BOMB her after SHOOTING her.... crazy man!!!

To get rid of the evidence obviously. It's like they've been taking hints from TV crime series. Which is why TV is so bad! And some people can give such clever remark saying that the population is clever and can be selective of what we want to see in the TV. What a load of crap. Where else would people get such cute idea to carry out similarly horrendous crimes? The library??

charged didnt mean that he's guilty.... but his lawyers are confident that they can make him acquitted .... just like Noritta case.... furthermore, he's charged under ABETTING only ... hard to prove beyond reasonable doubt...

How many parents really care of those 18 PL, 18 SG, 18 SX? Plus, it's so easy to obtain those gross DVDs like Cannibal Holocaust, Eaten Alive, Dead Alive, Shocking Asia, Shocking etc.... and should I mention porno CDs ... it can be obtain at any "pasar malam" (nightmarket).

Aahh... but with internet you can be truly selective. You'd have to enter addresses and search for stuffs. The TV, you just switch it on and it's there. Once it has taken hold on you, the pull makes it almost impossible to switch to another educational channel, much less switch the thing off. But I agree with your point that it is easy to obtain illegal stuffs to watch these days. Sadly. :cry:

A few weeks ago I remember reading the Kosmo newspaper stating that some of these mags were even approved by the KDN (Home Ministry). Apparently what's been illegal and forbidden before are now deemed fit for people to read and watch.

Whenever I try to speak up about this (yes, I do speak up in forum whenever I'm invited) there goes this smart chap who will give clever remarks like, "Oh we Malaysians are more mature now to be able to be selective of what we read and watch in TV and magazines..." :rollseyes

I'm against this remark in total. Singular, individual persons maybe intelligent but the masses aren't. A group of people tend to be as dumb as the dumbest person in that group. How else can we explain the increasing rate of crimes in our country?

When the movie Remp-It (about illegal motorcycle racing and the lifestyles of the street racers) came out I feared that it would lead to serious repercussions in the Malaysian society. Again I had to confront people who say that we should view the film as to explore the world of "mat rempits" (street-racing motorcyclists) and learn valuable lessons from it. Couple of weeks later we have increasing number of cases involving thefts, rapes and manslaughter by these "mat rempits". When are people going to learn that to fight sins we are never to glamorize sins?

Sometimes I feel like quoting my friend SirZubair, "It's not my fault that some people are idiots."

Love. Love. And more love. Malaysian movie-makers can't make films other than about love. The only twist they were capable of introducing (for example in the movies mentioned) is the story about love between a Malay girl and a Chinese boy. :rolleyes:

I just can't show support for local film industry. It sucks. Whenever someone criticizes about them those directors just jeer back at him/her saying, "Jealous! Jealous!"
