Where in the Quran and or the Hadith does it say that the Prophets were Muslims and taught Islam ?

If you understand the meaning of Islam and Muslim you would know they could be nothing else.

Islam the Arabic verb that means to submit to God.(swt)

Muslim: a person who does the act of Islam ie: Submits to the will of God(swt)

If you believe yhe Prophets(PBUT) submitted to the will of God(swt) than you believe they were Muslim. If you do not believe the Prophets(PBUT) were Muslim then you do not believe they obeyed God(swt)

Re: What do I say to Christians who think Jesus can be God and human at the sametime

Hi,:statisfie
If jesus was god , and jesus prayed ,who did he pray to himself? explain this
Jesus Christ prayed (as a Man) to God the Father.
Christ, being Man, truly acted as a Man, as you said it yourself.

And god((swt) is the almighty why would he feel the need to even act in human form
Off course God does not have any need nor to become a human, nor to act as a human. It is for our sake that He was incarnate and took human nature upon Himself so that we could become children of God, bearers of His Divine image and likeness.
Another reason (of His acting and speaking as a Man) is to give us a perfect example of how to fulfill the will and the commandments of God. As He had said:
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. (John 13: 15)
Also it would be worth to note that we need a perfect and sinless Intercessor, the High priest, Who could be an advocate for us before God.
26For such an high priest became us, [who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, [maketh] the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
1 Now of the things which we have spoken [this is] the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
2A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.(Hebrews 7:26- 8:3)

Also i have a problem with the christian belief that god(swt) punished all mankind for adams and eves sin. This is umjustice
And which we as muslims know that god is just and most merciful.
None of us is guilty or responsible for that sin of Adam and Eve. Every one of us is responsible for his own sins; nonetheless the curse is the result, the consequence of the primordial sin. One example: if someone’s father and mother are criminals, will their bad behavior not leave any bad consequences on that person? Off course it will, although that unfortunate person is not responsible for the bad behavior of his parents.
Christ took the curse by which the humankind was cursed and the suffering , as a consequence of that curse, upon Himself.God showed immeasurable love for men by being incarnate and taking upon Himself our nature and shameful suffering. Could you imagine greater love than this?

So, why do we need incarnate God, in the person of Jesus Christ?

1. Out of His love God the Almighty has created the whole world with all that is in it. He has made the sun, the moon and the stars to shine upon the face of the earth. He made living creatures, the plants and the animals, that they may praise Him, as the Psalmist says. At the end He created also a man to be the head and the crown of His creation. He placed him in the most beautiful garden called Eden. Our first ancestors, Adam and Eve, had been living a gracious and blissful life.
2. Nonetheless in order to let them prove their faithfulness, God commanded them not to eat the fruit from a certain tree called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Alas, being deluded by devil the men transgressed the command given them by God. So it came to pass what the Lord has spoken: for in the day that you eat of it you shall die. The men were expelled from the paradise to lead a hard life outside of it, before they die and return to the dust where out they were taken.
3. In this world after the primordial sin nobody were able to redeem the children of Adam from this desperate state, not a righteous person, not an angel, nobody except God alone. Nobody could bring the men back to the paradise, because curse fell upon all the descendants of Adam.
4. Because by the sin of the first men curse fell upon all their descendants, in the same manner there was a need in a Man who could restore the fault of the first man, and, contrary to Adam, become the firstling of those who are to be saved. It is logical that this Man, second Adam, must be without any sin, completely loyal to the will of God. But there was nobody who could be free from the curse of the primordial sin. Even the most righteous persons were in need of salvation from this anxious state.
5. Nothing and nobody could redeem humanity if God had not redeemed it. So the All merciful God took pity on us. God the Son, the only begotten Son of God the Father, equal and coeternal with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, took our human nature in order that we might become sons and daughters of God by His grace. Jesus Christ, the incarnate Word of the Father, took our sins and our curse upon Himself (as a Man, sinless Man), being nailed on the cross that we may become partakers of His everlasting and blessed life,’kingdom of priests and holy nation’(like the Scripture says). On the third day after His death on the cross He rose up, ascended into Heaven (as a Man) to sit nigh God the Father. From there he will come again to judge the living and the departed (the general Resurrection), and His Kingdom will have no end.
6. He established His holy Church, poured down the grace of the Holy Spirit upon its members, the apostles (and other members of the Church), who brought the Good News into many parts of the earth, baptizing many people of various nations in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Every man is thus welcom to be a partaker in the Kingdom of God.

This sermon is said by a renowned (Orthodox) Christian priest:

The Word became flesh; that is, the Son of God, co-eternal with God the Father and with the Holy Spirit, became human – having become incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary. O, wondrous, awesome and salvific mystery! The One Who had no beginning took on a beginning according to humanity; the One without flesh assumed flesh. God became man – without ceasing to be God. The Unapproachable One became approachable to all, in the aspect of an humble servant. Why, and for what reason, was there such condescension [shown] on the part of the Creator toward His transgressing creatures – toward humanity which, through an act of its own will had fallen away from God, its Creator?
It was by reason of a supreme, inexpressible mercy toward His creation on the part of the Master, Who could not bear to see the entire race of mankind – which, He, in creating, had endowed with wondrous gifts – enslaved by the devil and thus destined for eternal suffering and torment.
And the Word became flesh!...in order to make us earthly beings into heavenly ones, in order to make sinners into saints; in order to raise us up from corruption into incorruption, from earth to heaven; from enslavement to sin and the devil – into the glorious freedom of children of God; from death – into immortality, in order to make us sons of God and to seat us together with Him upon the Throne as His royal children.
O, boundless compassion of God! O, inexpressible wisdom of God! O, great wonder, astounding not only the human mind, but the angelic [mind] as well!
Let us glorify God! With the coming of the Son of God in the flesh upon the earth, with His offering Himself up as a sacrifice for the sinful human race, there is given to those who believe the blessing of the Heavenly Father, replacing that curse which had been uttered by God in the beginning; they are adopted and receive the promise of an eternal inheritance of life. To a humanity orphaned by reason of sin, the Heavenly Father returns anew through the mystery of re-birth, that is, through baptism and repentance. People are freed of the tormenting, death-bearing authority of the devil, of the afflictions of sin and of various passions.
Human nature is deified for the sake of the boundless compassion of the Son of God; and its sins are purified; the defiled are sanctified. The ailing are healed. Upon those in dishonour are boundless honour and glory bestowed.
Those in darkness are enlightened by the Divine light of grace and reason.
The human mind is given the rational power of God – we have the mind of Christ (Cor. 2, 16), says the Holy apostle Paul. To the human heart, the heart of Christ is given. The perishable is made immortal. Those naked and wounded by sin and by passions are adorned in Divine glory. Those who hunger and thirst are sated and assuaged by the nourishing and soul-strengthening Word of God and by the most pure Body and Divine Blood of Christ. The inconsolable are consoled. Those ravaged by the devil have been – and continue to be – delivered.
What, then, O, brethren, is required of us in order that we might avail ourselves of all the grace brought unto us from on high by the coming to earth of the Son of God? What is necessary, first of all, is faith in the Son of God, in the Gospel as the salvation-bestowing heavenly teaching; a true repentance of sins and the correction of life and of heart; communion in prayer and in the mysteries [sacraments]; the knowledge and fulfillment of Christ’s commandments. Also necessary are the virtues: Christian humility, alms-giving, continence, purity and chastity, simplicity and goodness of heart.
Let us, then, O brothers and sisters, bring these virtues as a gift to the One Who was born for the sake of our salvation – let us bring them in place of the gold, frankincense and myrrh which the Magi brought Him, as to One Who is King, God, and Man, come to die for us. This, from us, shall be the most-pleasing form of sacrifice to God and to the Infant Jesus Christ. Amen.

St John of Kronstadt.

Peace unto you.

Re: What do I say to Christians who think Jesus can be God and human at the sametime

Jesus Christ prayed (as a Man) to God the Father.

so jesus (pbuh) is a man.

Finally something muslims and christians can agree on.

Re: Where in the Quran and or the Hadith does it say that the Prophets were Muslims a

Dear Truthseeker,

I agree with Woodrow.All previous prophets have brought the same message.That's submitting to the will of God.

Quran clarifies this point about Prophet Abraham AS :
" Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah.s (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with Allah." Quran 3/67

Dear Truthseeker,

Quran says:

Say: He is Allah,(6296) the One and Only;
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; (That means God is not father or mother)
And there is none like unto Him. (That means God is above having a gender or being similar to anything created)

Re: Does God have no gender what does the Quran or the Hadith say I ask this question

Peace,

Selsebil got the main point, but if your wondering why the Qur'an refers to Allah as a 'he' then that's because there is no genderless word in the Qur'an. There is only 'he' or 'she', there's no 'it'.

I'm sure you have asked this question before, because I have answered several times using the same exact answer/exact same surah, I actually dont mind your questions, because your questions also serve to illuminate the truth of Islam.
Ask as many questions as you want, there is no secret in Islam! :)

QS. Al Ikhlas:
Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
And there is none like unto Him.

Re: Does God have no gender what does the Quran or the Hadith say I ask this question

Read the Christian Lord's prayer (Our Father) in the original Aramaic:

Abwûn
"Oh Thou, from whom the breath of life comes,

d'bwaschmâja
who fills all realms of sound, light and vibration.

Nethkâdasch schmach
May Your light be experienced in my utmost holiest.

Têtê malkuthach.
Your Heavenly Domain approaches.

Nehwê tzevjânach aikâna d'bwaschmâja af b'arha.

Let Your will come true - in the universe (all that vibrates)
just as on earth (that is material and dense).

Hawvlân lachma d'sûnkanân jaomâna.
Give us wisdom (understanding, assistance) for our daily need,

Waschboklân chaubên wachtahên aikâna
daf chnân schwoken l'chaijabên.

detach the fetters of faults that bind us, (karma)
like we let go the guilt of others.

Wela tachlân l'nesjuna
Let us not be lost in superficial things (materialism, common temptations),

ela patzân min bischa.
but let us be freed from that what keeps us off from our true purpose.

Metol dilachie malkutha wahaila wateschbuchta l'ahlâm almîn.
From You comes the all-working will, the lively strength to act,
the song that beautifies all and renews itself from age to age.

Amên.
Sealed in trust, faith and truth.
(I confirm with my entire being)

Notice that Abwûn does not mean Our Father

Re: Does God have no gender what does the Quran or the Hadith say I ask this question

^ the above verses resumed the answer.

Allah is above gender. Gender is something we need as creatures for reproduction to preserve our existence and . Allah always existed, He doesn't need a gender.

You might find this link interesting: http://islamic-replies.ucoz.com/All_Prophets_Were_Muslims.html

Where the translation is "bowed his will to God", or "submitted", the Arabic word used in the actual text of the Qur'an, is "Muslim".
