I'm not necessarily suggesting that the story is entirely fabricated (although that is a possibility), I'm suggesting that we may be missing a big part of the picture. So its a good idea to find more info especially if one plans to take action.

hearing stuff like this just makes me sick. it was self defence. the saddest of all was that he raped her violently. very sad story.

i dont really know if you can donate ukhti because its alot of money - $500,000 american dollars. but we just gota keep praying and we gota remember that this is happening all around thw world today inc. the brothers in guantanamo bay.. we have to keep praying and ameen to your dua'.. plz remember its ramadhan and this is one of the main times when our prayers can get accepted insha Allah. jazak Allah khayr.

in self defence she hit the guy with a bottle, but then why did she have to stab him not one or twice but 13 times?

Well if you were a female nearly scared to death and you just hit a guy who could beat the living day lights out of you.I'm sure you wouldn't just stand there shaking okay.Seriously that's reallly scary think about it.

you could just hit him with the bottle once, and the man would be knocked out, to stab him 13 times indicates that the sister knew what she was doing and killed him in hatred, that is murder not self defence

Ecxcuse me no brother indicating how scared she was.People sometimes when they're so afraid they can't think right the same thing with the sister.

I agree and disagree. I agree that the 13 stabbings are... suspect, and will definitely not work in her favour. They're also far beyond the defence of self-defence. Her state of mind would help in mitigation (i.e. they might 'soften the blow' of a sentence), but the fact that she stabbed the guy 13 times is a very hard fact to justify. At best she might be able to plead insanity on the grounds of diminished responsibility (since she suffered a sudden and temporary loss of self-control), but it's extremely doubtful she could plead self-defence.

I disagree that she killed him in hatred, since I don't know what she was thinking. However, a jury may very well see this as evidence of malice aforethought.

Ya Allah, that story is truly upsetting. let us hope we are safe drom such haraam acts and that Hala inshAllah will be free, in both worlds.
