Re: reversion help, finally some people to talk to!
I really don't think that discussing this here is going to be of much use. It will just turn into a big debate and ruin our new-found friendships, but, insha'Allaah, I will explain this to you:
First of all, the big bang theory does say that something can come from nothing, but this is only a problem for atheists. When Isa (PBUH) turned the clay bird to a live one with Allah's help, all the chemicals needed for a living bird appeared from nothing, didn't they? Well, couldn't the same thing have happened at the big bang?
Then Yusuf Estes goes on to state that 'before' the big bang there was some solids or gasses. That is nothing like the theory states, according to the big bang theory, there was absolutely nothing 'before' the big bang, no space for anything to exist in, and no time for anything to come to being in. How this stopped is a complete mystery to scientists, except for those who follow the Quran (like I will be one day, insha'Allah).
He also states that there is no evidence for this theory, and compares it with evolution. But in reality, there is plenty of evidence for these things. I suggest that you look up Andya Primanda's site, which is a Muslim website dedicated to showing Muslims the real truth about evolution. Harun Yahya tried to refute him, but he really only refuted part of his work (not very well either), and ignores the rest.
And the rest of the page I refuted by my earlier statement about the big bang. And remember, explosions do cause order out of nothing, such as sound waves. Prehaps the big bang's equivalent to this order is the matter all around us. Or prehaps Allah organised it using another miracle. But we are certain that at one stage, the Heavens were ripped appart violently.
And Allah knows best about these matters.
As I said before, I really don't want to keep discussing these matters here, because it will just turn into a big argument, and I will lose my friends.
Can you give me some advice about some more things:
Where do I pray on a long car journey, when I'm not near a service station?
Can you give me some advice on avoiding TV, music, and games consoles?
How do I persuade my parents not to make me ham sandwiches for lunch?
